Volunteer Counsellor

The vast majority of our volunteers at Diverse Voices staff our support line. You do not need to be a professional counsellor to be on line. This is because the strength of our service is that it is peer to peer. Comprehensive training is provided to our counsellors. Regional Connect Volunteer

The main aim of this role is to increase awareness of Diverse Voices in regional centres. The Connect Volunteers will market Diverse Voices services by using local knowledge of the community to target services, organisations and venues that service LGBTIQ+ people in regional areas. Connect Volunteers will also help to build community profiles for districts and towns across Queensland. This will feed into our core business by establishing links with agencies that can be useful referrals for service users from the bush. To find out more download our Connect Volunteer Position Description using the link below.
